Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-20 · Please read before creating an account or posting a request.

Draft template — not legal advice. Plona must have this reviewed by a licensed attorney (transportation, insurance, and privacy) before relying on it. Requirements vary by state.

1. What Plona is

Plona is an early-stage platform that connects people who need a vehicle moved (“Owners”) with individuals who drive it (“Drivers”) or carriers who haul it (“Carriers”). Plona facilitates introductions, coordination, and payment. Plona is not a common carrier, moving company, or insurer.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18. Drivers must hold a valid driver's license and provide accurate information. One account may act as an Owner, Driver, or Carrier. You agree to provide truthful information and keep it current. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for termination and may be reported to authorities.

3. Consent to contact

By creating an account or posting a request you agree Plona may contact you about your request, account, and the service. Plona will send service and support communications only — we do not send marketing emails and we do not sell your information.

4. Owner responsibilities

You confirm you own or are authorized to move the vehicle; that insurance and registration are valid; and that you have disclosed the vehicle's condition and any known issues accurately. Where an inspection is required, you agree to complete it before the trip. Undisclosed pre-existing damage is excluded from any assurance claim.

5. Driver & Carrier conduct

During a trip, Plona collects location and checkpoint information and may reach out to you. Failure to respond to Plona outreach may result in termination of the trip and forfeiture of agreed payment. You must follow the approved route; unapproved detours are prohibited. Theft, vandalism, misuse, misrepresentation, or any unlawful act will result in forfeiture of payment, account termination, and referral to law enforcement, and Plona will support prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Drivers record a drop-off video to document the vehicle's condition at delivery.

6. Payments

Owners pay the agreed amount; Drivers/Carriers are paid on confirmed delivery. Payment may be held until delivery is confirmed. Payment is forfeited for violations of these terms.

7. Limitation of liability — Plona is not liable for loss or damage

Plona provides an introduction and coordination platform only. Plona is not the driver, carrier, owner, or insurer of any vehicle, and never takes custody of a vehicle. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plona is not liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, delay, or other harm arising from a trip, a match, or the conduct of any user. Users transport vehicles at their own risk. The Owner's own insurance is primary, and Owners and Drivers are responsible for their own insurance and for resolving any claims between them. Plona's total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees, if any, you paid Plona for the affected trip, and Plona is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

8. Assumption of risk

Vehicle transport by an independent party carries inherent risk, including damage, theft, or total loss. By using Plona you knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks and agree Plona is not responsible for them. You are strongly encouraged to maintain your own insurance covering the vehicle during transport.

9. Prohibited conduct

No fraud, false information, harassment, circumventing Plona to avoid fees, unlawful use of a vehicle, or violation of any applicable law.

10. Privacy

Your information is handled under our Privacy Policy. We collect data only to make and manage matches and to provide and support the service; we do not sell data.

11. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. (Your attorney should confirm dispute-resolution and arbitration language.)

12. State-specific disclosures

Vehicle transport, driveaway, for-hire driving, and consumer-protection rules differ by state. Additional terms and disclosures may apply depending on the states of pickup and drop-off. Users are responsible for compliance with applicable local law. A per-state addendum will be added as Plona expands; this requires state-by-state legal review.

13. Changes & contact

Plona may update these terms; continued use means acceptance of the current version. Questions: support@go-plona.com.
