Need someone to drive your car to another state?
Plona connects car owners with drivers who are already going that way. You post the route and the price, drivers apply, and you pick the driver.
How it works
Post the route
Tell Plona where the car is and where it needs to go. Plona recommends a price from the miles and gas prices, and you choose your price.
Drivers going that way apply
Drivers who already plan that trip apply for your route. Until the move is booked, they see the cities, not the addresses.
Pick your driver
You see who applied and pick one. Once the driver says yes, you pay through Stripe (opens Stripe's site in a new tab), and the payment goes into hold.
Pickup to drop-off
The driver picks up the car and drives it to the drop-off. The driver gets gas money at pickup and the rest after you confirm the drop-off.

What to know first
- Posting a route is free. You set the price, and the fee is already inside it. You see the whole price before you book.
- Plona recommends a price. You can change it, but not so low that the driver would lose money.
- Owners and drivers verify their ID with Stripe before a first move.
- Plona is in a pilot and does not provide insurance. Your own auto insurance applies during the move.
- Plona is for vehicles rated 10,000 pounds or less, like most cars, SUVs, pickups and vans.
- The drivers are independent. Plona helps with introductions, coordination and payment.
Common questions
Can someone drive my car to another state for me?
Yes. Post the route on Plona, and drivers already going that way can apply. You pick the one you want. Plona connects you, but it can't promise a driver for every route or date.
Is my car driven or put on a truck?
Driven. A driver going that way drives your car from pickup to drop-off and takes photos of it at both ends.
How much does it cost?
You set the price. Plona recommends one built from the miles, gas and the driver's pay. There's no subscription.
Who drives my car?
An independent driver who applied for your route. You see each driver's profile photo before you pick one.
